Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as eight of our total 14 production facilities are all located in Switzerland.
The plants in Balsthal, Bettlach, Grenchen, Lamone, Oberdorf/BL, Mezzovico and Raron manufacture metallic as well as resorbable implants such as nails, plates and screws, whereas Hägendorf is
specialized in the production of instruments and the total artificial disc system Prodisc. In addition, the Swiss logistic center in Selzach guarantees an efficient and worldwide delivery.
Die Schweiz ist mit 2900 Mitarbeitenden ein äusserst wichtiger Standort für Synthes. Hier befinden sich die Product Development Centers für Traumatologie, Wirbelsäule und Kranio-maxillofazial, der Hauptsitz für Europa, den Mittleren Osten und Afrika sowie acht der insgesamt 14 Produktionsstätten.
Die Produktionswerke in Balsthal, Bettlach, Grenchen, Lamone, Oberdorf/BL, Mezzovico und Raron produzieren metallische und resorbierbare Implantate wie Nägel, Platten und Schrauben. Hägendorf dagegen ist spezialisiert auf die Produktion von Instrumenten und dem vollständigen Bandscheibenersatz Prodisc.
